What a demolition robot actually is

A compact, tracked, electrically-driven carrier with a three-section hydraulic arm and a quick-change tool head, controlled from a belt-mounted remote.

  • Weighs roughly 1–5 tonnes depending on model, yet hits like a much bigger machine
  • Runs on three-phase power (or a generator outdoors) — no exhaust indoors
  • Outriggers give a stable base on slabs, decks and slopes
  • Tools: hydraulic breaker, concrete crusher, steel shear, bucket, drill, grapple
  • Climbs stairs, negotiates 30° slopes, drives into lifts
