Shutdown windows are short and the environment is brutal — heat, dust, confined access and live plant around you. Remote operation takes the person out of the vessel and the robot’s speed shrinks the outage.
Refractory tear-out is the textbook robotic demolition job. The lining is hard, the space is confined, the residual heat is real, and the shutdown program is counting every hour. Manual crews inside a kiln or ladle are limited by heat stress and confined-space rules; a demolition robot isn’t.
We work to your permit system, your isolation procedures and your shutdown schedule. The operator runs the machine from outside the vessel, the lining comes out faster than a crew could manage, and the plant comes back online sooner. We also handle the concrete and steel demolition that surrounds an outage: plinths, foundations, chutes, hoppers and silo walls.

The machine tolerates conditions that a person can’t safely work in, which is one of the main reasons it’s used for refractory. We still work to the site’s cooling and entry procedures, but the robot can typically start earlier than a manual crew could.
Through the normal access door or manway where the machine fits, or through a temporary opening if the reline plan allows one. Our smaller machines fit through openings that a person would use, and the outriggers give a stable base on a curved floor.
Always. We come to your pre-shutdown planning, complete your inductions and permits, and work inside your isolation and confined-space procedures. Our SWMS is written for your site.
